Everyone keeps asking me if I feel old and I really don’t. Except for the fact that we had to buy two boxes of candles to put on my birthday cake! Oh and I CANNOT move today after my weekend activities. So I guess I feel a little old after all:)
Friday night I went to a new dance class and the teacher was just a little obsessed with “drill team” style kicks. Oh man my legs just don’t move like they used to! On Saturday for my birthday Brandon loaded up my bike and we headed for a great ride at O.P. Schnabel. We had never been and it was a fabulous biking trail!
We finished off the night with the Muppets Movie and some yummy cake. That hubby of mine makes good cake!
We headed up to Fredricksberg this weekend to pick our own strawberries. It was very fun. While we were picking I did have this funny feeling that somehow it wasn’t right that I was paying to do the farmers work, but then I got back to the having fun and it was worth it! So delicious!
We took home a couple special strawberries too.
Seriously so delicious!
We’ll be back in a few weeks for blackberries and later in the summer for peaches!
We had a great Easter Sunday today. Fabulous talks and lessons, great afternoon nap and even a little easter egg hunt.
Dress pants and a jersey must be a style I’m not aware of:)
We made bunny rolls (found on pinterest) that were very yummy.
I’ve been wanting to practice taking more pictures and took advantage of our little house guest this weekend. She is a very cute model! I just had way too many cute pictures to decide from:
So I have thought for years that cinnamon bear cookies were a normal thing that every family did. That is until I tried googling the recipe when I couldn’t get ahold of my mama. I could not find a single thing about them. Turns out my lovely aunt made it up!
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup rice krispies
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup flour
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup cinnamon bears or lips (cut up in about 6ths)
Cream butter, sugars, egg and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add rice krispies, oatmeal coconut and cinnamon bears.
Bake @ 325 for 10 minutes.
These have been my favorite for years!
